Under the aegis of the Reconnexion festival, Margee, aka Alexandre Gimard, will set up his turntables on the sand of the Escalet beach for a DJ set inaugurating the series of "Concerts de la plage de l'Escalet" summer 2025, organized by the Office de Tourisme et de la Culture.
Originally from Nice, now based in Grimaud, the artist likes to carry his vinyl and USB sticks around with him. Always seeking the perfect balance between surprising discoveries and timeless classics, he enjoys weaving sets that captivate and cultivate pleasure. His music has found its way onto stages the world over, from the deserts of Afrikaburn to the jungles of Wonderfruit, via the beach at WeCanDance, The Monastery Festival, Les Plages Électro, Cartel del Chipo Festival... Recently, he has also been seen behind the decks at clubs and events such as Corsica Studios (London), Chapiteau (Marseille), Jupiter Disco (Brooklyn), Canal 54 (Geneva), Badaboum (Paris), Vino Disco (Montreal), Lost in Château Double...
Depending on the atmosphere and his mood, he oscillates between slow sets in which each track breathes the warm air of Balearic beaches and "big slams on the dancefloor". Vinyl or USB? It doesn't matter, as long as there's a groove, floating layers and rhythms that will get heads and bodies moving under the stars.
