Pierrick Pédron loves musical challenges. And revisiting Ornette Coleman's "The Shape of Jazz to Come" is one of them!

Without concession, Pierrick Pédron continues his irresistible ascent, exploring jazz that is ever more profound, spiritual and communicative, virtuoso and contemporary. Today, this singular strength places him among the great international soloists and gives him a choice place among the emblematic leaders of the European scene.
We've seen him criss-cross the planet, on stage or in the studio, with Mulgrew Miller, Phil Woods, Roy Hargrove or Ambrose Akinmusire, we've heard him move with disconcerting ease from the most traditional jazz to the most wildly experimental electric music, we've felt him draw on the heritage of Cannonball Adderley as much as that of Ornette Coleman or Maceo Parker - in short, we've seen his talent explode in all its facets.
Now he's back with his intergenerational quartet. The essential double bassist Thomas Bramerie (Dee Dee Bridgewater, Jacky Terrasson), a partner of 30 years and two exciting players on the new scene: pianist Carl-Henri Morisset (Archie Shepp, Arnaud Dolmen ...), "30 years old and an uncommon musicality" according to Louis-Julien Nicolaou (Télérama), and drummer Elie Martin-Charrière (Robinson Khoury, Mark Priore...), "a major drummer in French jazz today" according to Pascal Anquetil (Jazz Magazine.)
